crazy hair day

This past week was reading week at school and for the week they had daily "events" for the kids. One day was crazy hair day. I've never really gotten into this before because I just had the boys and could never think of anything "crazy" to do. WELL this year I had spotted something on Pinterest that inspired me. I can't wait for next year not that I've gotten the first one done and learned a few things. 

here's the blog that had the amazing ideas. 

Weiland started off wanting a wave with a surfer like on the site but I didn't want to have to go hunt down a surfer so we used what we had. Fish. oh and a Killer Whale which you can't really see in the back. 

 Quinton chose bugs for his hair. 

 I was super excited to do Ellie's hair I just loved the idea. Cupcakes. Perfect.

I think they all had a great day and Quinton said he came in third for the craziest hair. (I don't think the kindergarteners were involved in the contest because Ellie would have taken it : )     )

Can't wait for next year.

Pine wood derby

We have survived another pinewood derby and this year we had two cars in the race. Both Weiland and Quinton designed their own cars and Todd tried to make them happen as best he could. In the end they were both thrilled with their cars and were sure they each had the fastest.

Weighing in. We're pretty sure there was something going on with the scales but we got it all worked out.

Both boys received trophies at the end of the night and both were super excited!!

They were both great sports and had a really good time. Great job guys!!
