First day of school

I can hardly believe I now have two in school. Quinton is gone all day and in first grade and Weiland has started kindergarten in the afternoons. Both boys have been looking forward to this for the last two weeks. Since it's now day three for being back I can say that Wei is doing well so far and really loving it. They have a turtle that they share with the other kindergarten class and that is the high point of each day for Weiland. He brought home his first practice paper with the letter A and well lets just say we have a lot of work to do. Shame on me for not working with him more, I promise to do better.
Quinton gets to ride his bike to school now because our district only busses kindergartners. We have about 5 first graders that all ride together from our street and the next over, there could be more but I think 5 is plenty. A couple adults ride with them to make sure they're safe and make it ok. Todd said he hooted at everyone he saw when he rode with him needless to say he loves it!
He also really likes his teacher and I have no doubt he'll do great~
Ellie hasn't really noticed a big change yet with her brothers gone, we've been keeping pretty busy. I think it will be good for both her and I to spend some girl time together. Poor girl still has two years before she gets to go. (poor mom too). : )

fashion sense

Last night we're sitting and listening to the stories my mom sent on CD and the boys hop up and disappear in their room and they come out again dressed like this. What brought this on is way beyond me. This is why girls should dress their guys.

Then they were getting their PJ's on and Weiland comes out to get help with his and he's got this getup on underneath. And this morning I sent Quinton to get dressed for school and he comes to me to help with a button and he's still got it on under his cloths. What is the deal? They made me laugh.

Our first sleep over

After being with family last week the kids realized as well as I, that we miss not getting together as much as we do in the summer to play. So we had Ryker over for a sleep over on Friday night. We picked him up around 5pm and stopped and got a pizza for dinner. I had also rented Madagascar 2 to watch that night. Well the pizza went over really well (Quinton had a hotdog) and as soon as they were finished they jumped right into their jammies. We all then headed down stairs for the movie with sleeping bags and pillows in tow. The boys did discover a new sport, sliding down the stairs in their sleeping bags, they call it sledding. They giggled for hours doing this.

Sorry the pictures are blurry, they were in motion all the time and there wasn't anyway to get all of them to hold still for me.

Finally bed time came and all three boys wanted to sleep together on the top bunk so I let them. Weiland ended up back in his own bed shortly after, he's always the first to fall asleep. But Quinton and Ryker were up till 10pm giggling and talking. You'd think I had two girls in there. Then to my dismay while I'm up feeding Holland at 6am, up pops Quinton and Ryker, I couldn't believe it.

All in all it was a good time and I would do it again. I love having family near.
