First day of school

I can hardly believe I now have two in school. Quinton is gone all day and in first grade and Weiland has started kindergarten in the afternoons. Both boys have been looking forward to this for the last two weeks. Since it's now day three for being back I can say that Wei is doing well so far and really loving it. They have a turtle that they share with the other kindergarten class and that is the high point of each day for Weiland. He brought home his first practice paper with the letter A and well lets just say we have a lot of work to do. Shame on me for not working with him more, I promise to do better.
Quinton gets to ride his bike to school now because our district only busses kindergartners. We have about 5 first graders that all ride together from our street and the next over, there could be more but I think 5 is plenty. A couple adults ride with them to make sure they're safe and make it ok. Todd said he hooted at everyone he saw when he rode with him needless to say he loves it!
He also really likes his teacher and I have no doubt he'll do great~
Ellie hasn't really noticed a big change yet with her brothers gone, we've been keeping pretty busy. I think it will be good for both her and I to spend some girl time together. Poor girl still has two years before she gets to go. (poor mom too). : )

day ten

Saturday was the last day before people started to go home. Since Grandma & Grandpa had all their grandkids together we took the opportunity to do some pictures that morning and I think they turned out pretty cute. That afternoon we met at our local stake center which is equipped with a couple baseball fields, a small playground, & picnic area. We picniced and Court brought some fun games to do. We spent the afternoon playing together and having a great time. Then that evening the adults (and babies) went out to dinner and played a game of miniture golf. It was great to do something with just the grown ups. We had a wonderful time with everyone here and miss not seeing those who don't live here.

Day nine

Friday we had some fun. We headed out to Pocatello to go to Ross park. If you haven't been I recommend going for the day. We left around 10am and got there around 11am or so, not bad. We brought our lunch so the kids could eat whenever. My kids LOVED it. The play area for the kids is great, they even have a lazy river with tubes. Thanks to my mom and dad for taking my kids on it since I was going solo that day. We had a great time and they ask often to back.

Day eight

Day eight was Thursday, the day my brother Dan and his family were arriving. Origanally we had planned to go to the nature park and feed the ducks and let the kids ride their bikes but that didn't seem to work out. What we did do was a lot of nothin. We finished the hair bows for the girls for the upcoming pictures and mostly waited around at my sisters. But later that night we had a great time out at the pond. We got together for s'mores and roasted biscuts and a little badmitten and had a fun time just sittin around. Thanks to Brad for letting us come.

Quinton liked his marshmallows raw but still on the stick.

All the older cousins. Broden, Taylee, Quinton, Lily, Jacey, Ryker, Ellie, Conner, Weiland

It's such a pretty place out in the middle of the fields.

Weiland was actually quite patient roasting his marshmallows.

Enjoying the campfire.

Day seven

This was a crazy day for me. I was helping my friend Dacia with her customer appreciation party (which you can see here) so didn't want to go too far from home. We decided to do our local splash park and carousel and just let the kids play. It worked out great. The only bummer was that my brother had to leave that day. That night all the girls, well mom's, went to the party and I hope had a good time.

Yeah, I forgot my camera so there are no pictures of the kids in the water. Thanks Court for letting me use your pictures.

Day six

Day six was Tuesday and we headed to Bear World. We only go once a year because it's SO expensive and we always wait till Grandma and Grandpa come. We had a lot of fun yet again and the kids of course love the rides at the end more than anything. In fact Grandma and Aunt Courtney took the older kids back later that afternoon to ride them again. (brave souls)

These wolves were asleep on the side of the road as we drove by and both my niece and nephew thought they were dead. Silly kids.

There were a few different kind of animals to see, Elk, deer, goats, bison, and wolves. And of course we got to see LOTS of bears. They told us as we drove through the gate for the bears not to stop near the black bears because they've been known to climb in the beds of pickups and do some real damage. (of course we were in a pickup)
This is how Holland spent most of the day, poor girl never gets to have any fun!
There is a petting zoo at the end where you can pet the mini goats, deer, a hairy pig, and other animals. And of course Weiland slipped and fell in the poop/mud. YUCK! (he stank the rest of the day)
We did this picture last year when Grandma and Grandpa came

so of course we needed to do it again. All grand kids minus one.
Ellie got to pet Bambi
And the rides begin.

This is my brother Brent who I don't get to see very much. : ( So glad he got to come!!

Even Court enjoyed the rides

This is all the older grand kids except Conner, poor kid, there just weren't enough seats.
We had a great day, so sad it's all over.
