Christmas fun

We took our trip down to the strip to see the Christmas decorations and they didn't disappoint.

This bear is made out of carnations, there were actually two more bears as well.

 This is the tree outside the Vanetian Hotel, it is HUGE!

These are people on stilts, they were pretty cool. 

I think this has become one of our traditions. 

Ward Party

The YW were in charge of the ward party again this year for Christmas. And since mom was in charge in her ward I did what she was doing so I could have someone to collaborate with and because it was a fun idea. 

So here is our "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" party

We didn't have a dinner because our ward can't all fit around the tables in our gym at our building. So instead we did a dessert buffet. 

We had classroom tables randomly placed throughout the gym that held the noise makers, headbands and pipecleaners for Who antennas, and coloring pages and crayons for the little kids.

This is a shot looking towards the dessert table. I bought dollar store snowflakes and white foam snowflakes for the wall and added cottonballs as well.

I had people sign up to bring a specific kind of dessert before hand.

It was a fun evening, even for the Grinch.

family pictures

It has been a VERY long time since we had family pictures taken. So we had Todd's cousin come take them for us at this great little ghost town just outside of Vegas. There were lots of great spots to snap some pictures and we were thrilled how they all came out.
