Warning: Huge amount of pictures because we had a huge amount of fun!
A week before Christmas Todd and I went on a date down to the strip to see all the fun Christmas decorations. Once we'd seen them we knew the kids would love them so over break we took them down to see them as well. I have to say it's much more impressive in the dark but we weren't waiting until then to go with the kids.
Our first stop was the Venetian, I have to say if I could choose a hotel to stay at it would be this one or the Palazzo, beautiful!!
They had HUGE white peacocks and awesome trees with lit crystals draped from the branches.
cute girls
We then headed outside to see the huge bubble tree. This is where it would have been better to see it in the dark but it was still impressive to see.
getting a closer look
They also had an ice skating rink outside and of course the kids wanted to go but we passed.
Then it was off to the Ballagio. They had a cool winter theme set up with huge polar bears made out of real carnations.
I've decided we're coming here to take our family Christmas card picture next year. They put it up around Thanksgiving so we'll be going early next year.
They also had a penguin display that the kids watched for quite a while.
We thought we'd head out to watch the fountain show, which they do to Christmas music during the season, we were out there and ready around 12pm when an announcement came on instead of the water telling us the first show would be at 3pm that day. Bummer.
We even had a good spot picked out
We made a few more stops that day and had a great time spending it together as a family. That is one thing we are very grateful for, to be together as a family.
